The collection of subjects presented here represent my endeavors to dig into the "whys" and "wherefores" of colonial and early American history, to understand those times, and even do some myth-busting and in doing so, "glean knowledge from the past."

  My hands-on pursuit of historical living tends to be an immersive activity/lifestyle, wherein only the tools, clothing, accouterments, means and methods common to the 18th and early 19th century, are used. I have had my visions of what I thought was historical, substantially altered over the years. I have had a number of frustrating dilemmas in which romance and myth finally gave way to a reality based upon historical evidence.
